Yep, shin splints and weird toe ache. Luckily I have (to some people) the contents of an entire medicine cabinet in my dance bag. Gosh, being a senior lady is awesome sometimes.

I’m really loving my hornpipes, and my stamina holds out—too bad there are no hornpipes for open champs at CCE, just soft shoe and set. My set is marginally better; I’m hitting the rhythms. It’s just my turnout. Like always. Reel is meh. I don’t feel like my steps are bad, I just feel bored with them.

The last piece of my costume head gear arrived in the mail today. It needs to be blinged and my look will be ready to be unveiled!

I’m really glad that CCE is reel and set. My set will be so great. I’ve really settled into the speed I am and I’m hitting all my beats, so yay. My hornpipes are slammin’ as well when my brain is engaged. They’re great when my core is engaged too, so…lifted. Imagine that.

I’m going to work lots on my reel 2nd step. I learned it two weeks ago, and have been bad at not drilling it to get it in my body. With a feis in basically 10 days, I should be better at it than I am.

OMG and have I mentioned I’m so exCITED TO WEAR MY NEW DRESSABFGUYAIG?!??!??!?!!

I have noticed my stamina has improved! Result! I did not die a winded death at the end of my hornpipe.

That’s about all to report.

I wish my TC focused on my steps more, I feel like I am being held back by moves that just don't suit my style :( And I'm thinking of you too! While I was living abroad the distance away from my bf sucked but you get through it day by day. If it's true it'll last and be worth all the heartache.

I think this is the first time that I have been given so much personal attention to my steps in class. It’s nice, but at the same time I feel guilty for hogging all the attention.
